Todd spent most of his professional career as a C-Suite executive for a wide spectrum of mid-market businesses ranging from $3mm – $250mm in annual revenue. At each of these companies, he was hired to run all non-core business functions and very quickly took control of business strategy, including mergers and acquisitions.

Drove Over $300mm in M&A Activity:

  • One of his earliest successes was buying a dump truck company for $3mm and within four years tripling its revenue to $10mm, selling it soon after.

  • As Executive Vice President, he led a leveraged buyout of a large construction company. The transaction was structured so that the former owner received $74mm tax-free, and the employees ended up owning the company in a retirement plan.

  • Again, as EVP, he grew the employee-owned construction company above to become the largest contractor in the state and sold it for $120mm

  • Worked with the owner to prepare his Medicare Advantage company for sale. The company recently sold for over $100mm.

Prior to founding EMHP, Todd transitioned to ACOs (Accountable Care Organizations) and primary care organizations where he became versed in buying and selling them. Most recently he engineered the sale of an ACO to a public company.

It is during this process that he discovered a great opportunity for independent primary care physicians to monetize their practice
